Parking:
If the main parking lot is full, additional parking is available behind the brewery. Turn in off of Springdale close to Airport at Dimension Gallery and go all the way back past Brothers Produce to the back lot. There is a paved walkway around the right side of the building to the front entrance.

  • Name: Hermes Camacho
  • Hermes Camacho is a composer, conductor, and violinist based in Austin, Texas. His music has been performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia and has garnered awards and recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts, Meet the Composer, American Composers Forum, ASCAP, Society of Composers, ArtsAha!, and the Vermont Arts Council, among others. Hermes has over 150 conducted performances to his credit in a variety of genres and ensemble types, including a performance for a delegation of 45 Ambassadors to the United Nations and a nationally televised broadcast performance for the 2013 Mexican Independence Day festivities in Austin.

    Hermes is a Lecturer in Music Theory and Composition at the University of the Incarnate Word and serves on the teaching faculty of Austin Soundwaves (thehispanicalliance.org), an El Sistema USA youth music program benefiting the underserved area of East Austin, Texas, where he leads the philharmonic orchestra and music theory programs, as well as teaching band, strings, and chamber music. As of 2017, Hermes has also been on the Board of Directors for El Sistema USA. After his freshman year in college, joined the faculty of the Sacramento Youth Symphony, primarily conducting their summer chamber workshop orchestras, coaching small ensembles, and overseeing the Composer in Residence program.

    In 2013, Hermes cofounded Picardy (picardylearning.com), a music learning platform, overseeing the overall company, product development, and content. A member of the Music Theory Outreach Committee, an association with the Society for Music Theory, Hermes is working toward bridging the gaps of musicianship learning between high school and college. His scholarly work focuses on emerging music pedagogies, with an emphasis on flipped classroom, gamification, and edtech, having most recently presented at the Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy Conference and the El Sistema USA Symposium.

    Originally from California, Hermes earned degrees in music from Cal State Long Beach (B.M.), the University of Colorado at Boulder (M.M.), and the doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011. He is and his wife make their home in Austin with their two young sons and incredibly patient cats.
