Listen

In celebration of the 300th anniversary of Bach's appointment as cantor of the Thomaskirche in Leipzig in 1723, we'll hear music that he wrote early in his career, including the very first cantata he composed for Leipzig: Die Elenden sollen essen, BWV 75. Our performers include the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir, directed by Ton Koopman.
