Conspirare Symphonic Choir Sings Price & Duruflé

Please join us at 7 pm for a pre-concert talk with Marques Jerrell Ruff  and Michael Cooper at 7 p.m.

Experience the exhilaration of hearing 100 voices join together to perform Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight, a poem and cantata about the timeless luminary as a ghostly, sleepless apparition wandering the streets of his hometown in mourning due to the continued folly and pain in the world he left behind.

The evening also includes Maurice Duruflé’s iconic Requiem. Duruflé was both prolific and his own worst critic. He noted ‘I work slowly and throw away a lot.’ His Requiem was one of only 11 scores he ever allowed to be published.
