KMFA’s broadcasts of the Austin Symphony continue with a real treat—pianist Leon Fleisher, celebrating his 90th year with a performing tour, made sure to stop in Austin as part of his plans. The concert was Fleisher’s chance to display his legendary artistry with a performance of Mozart’s 12th Piano Concerto. Also on the program, Ives’s Variations on America, Dvořák’s Symphonic Variations, and Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. Maestro Peter Bay conducts.
